So Suzy Stamps’ owner is this awesome, wonderful, big-hearted woman who sponsors monthly challenges to get your juices flowing. For January, the challenge is Everything Beachy. I had some paper from a monthly kit from Simon Says Stamp which I attached to some Neenah Solar White 100# card stock and then used my circle dies and cut out the center. After this I took another piece of the card stock and drew a circle in pencil by placing the first piece on the second piece. I have some texture paste from Martha Stewart. I used my Palate knife and mixed in some Dark Chocolate Ink from Altenew. Looks just like sand. I placed a little of this n the bottom half of the circle and then let it dry. I then used some pearlized water-color to color the “water” and allowed this to dry also. I then attached the card to make it a shaker card by cutting out some fun foam using the size of the original circle and one that was 2 sizes bigger. I attached acetate to the backside of the card front and then placed the fun foam circle around this. In hindsight, next time I will add it to the back where I have the “sand” and “water”. I added some sequins and put my shaker card together. I attached this to some red card stock. The sentiment is from So Suzy Stamps which I stamped on to white card stock and heat embossed it in cherry cobbler embossing powder. This was backed by some more red card stock and attached to the font of the card. I thought the card looked a little blah so I added a white circle to the front and then reattached the sentiment. Hope you like my card.
