Kindred Stamps December Release With Me As A Guest Designer!

Of course I was ecstatic when I was requested to be a Guest Designer for this new company called Kindred Stamps.  Welcome back readers. Salima here again with a special blog post today. I was given the most special stamp set called She’s Wonderful.

When I looked at the stamp set, I knew immediately I had to use the sentiment “Fight Like A Girl” to commemorate all of the women who have fought and are currently in battle with breast cancer.  I stamped the warrior image in Catherine Pooler’s Midnight ink and colored the image with my Zig Clean Cut Water Brush markers.  I chose pink and purple for her suit to match the pink ribbon I placed behind her. She is laying on a purple heart that I die cut from a scrap that I had.  I used a dollar store picture frame to display this which I painted in pink glittery paint. The painting is not covering the entire frame and I like it. Makes it look rustic which is a perfect background for my warrior. Sentiment and Warrior are raised with foam tape to give it some dimension.  A couple of gold foam stars are hanging out in the top corner.  Hence my first project with this new stamp set:

For my second project, I made a card.  I stamped colored and fussy cut out 3 more warriors.  I heat embossed in silver the sentiment that says “One woman can make a difference but together we can rule the world” in the right hand corner.  You know when you tell me you are going to rule the world, you need to be amidst the stars.  I layered the 3 warriors cascading down the left side and then put Nuvo silver drops as the “stars”  A simple card to tell everyone that women are strong and intelligent and should not be underestimated.

  1. I really like how you didn’t go with the obvious colour scheme, great way to showcase a stamp that can be more than a specific character 😃
