Mom asked for two cards at the spur of the moment….

So my mom asks me just an hour before meeting with my family that she would like me to make her 2 cards, one for my niece and one for my nephew. I said to myself… can I do it in 1 hour? Shrugging my shoulders, I thought what have I got to lose……

Knowing that So Suzy Stamps has some adorable creature stamps, i dove in to make the cards. The first one is using So Suzy Stamps Bear With Heart stamp. I stamped him on black card stock with Versamark ink and embossed the image with Queen’s Gold embossing powder from Ranger. I then used my Versamark pen and colored in the heart and then added red embossing powder to fill it in. I was in a hurry so I could not mess with my Scan N Cut, so he was fussy cut out. I attached him to some white card stock and then attached this to a red background. I heat embossed the Just For You stamp and heat embossed this in the Queen’s Gold embossing powder on white card stock and used my Stampin Up Word Window punch. I also heat embossed Happy Birthday on top of the Bear on the red card stock and attached this to an A2 black card base.

This one I gave to marked for my niece.

The next card I made for my nephew took me a little longer. I used the Brontosaurus and I stamped him in Memento Luxe Tuxedo black ink and then heat embossed him in clear embossing powder from Ranger. I then used my Zig Clean Color Water Brush markers and colored the brontosaurus in 2 shades of green. I then used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors to color the “sky” all around. I stamped the Sending You Birthday Wishes to the left upper hand corner. I found a cake and some candles embellishments and got a great idea to add them on the card also. I used my craft knife and cut the hump of the brontosaurus a little and inserted the cake on its back. I attached this to a black background and then attached that to an A2 card from Bazill Marshmallow
