I originally started out this weekend to organize my craft area… I got pretty far when I saw the Stamp of Approval box unopened on my dining room table….   Of course I had to make some cards. I made two with a mix of the Stamp of Approval goodies, So Suzy Stamps, Bo Bunny Stacks and Stamps, and Altenew Stamps.

For my first card I thought of pink and silver would make such a beautiful Happy Birthday card.  I started with an A2 top folding card base using Bazzill Marshmallow card stock. The Stamp of Approval box came with a lot of fun stuff.  There was this Candy Cane stamp that I stamped in Versamark at a curved angle and then used Ranger Silver Embossing Powder.  I trimmed the card right under the stamp after I heat embossed it.  I used a paper pack from the UK from the company Bo Bunny Stacks and Stamps which had this pretty pink and gray pattern with butterflies.  I attached it to the bottom of the front of the card.  The paper pack also came with a cute little butterfly stamp.  I stamped that on the white card stock with Color Box Rosebud pigment ink and heat embossed it in clear.  I colored the wings of the butterfly with a silver glitter marker from Martha Stewart.  I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from So Suzy Stamps in he same Color Box Rosebud pigment ink and heat embossed that in clear ink to the middle of the card.  The butterflies were a attached with pop dots and sequins from The Ton glued in random places to the front.  Simple yet elegant at the same time.

For my next card I used the same Winnie and Walter stamp set from the Stamp of Approval except this time I used the peace love joy sentiment, stamped in Versamark on black and heat embossed with Ranger Silver Embossing powder.  I used Cas-ual Fridays snowflake stamp set in Color Box Aqua pigment ink on Vellum and heat embossed it with iridescent ice embossing powder.  I did not have matching Aqua colored card stock so I took some Bazzill Marshmallow white paper and took the Color Box Aqua pigment ink and used the direct to paper stamping technique.  The Vellum is cut to 3.5 in by 5 in. The black card stock is 3/4 in by 5 in and the aqua is 1/2 in by 5 in.  The entire focal point is attached to a top folding A2 Bazzill Marshmallow card base.  I used clear rhinestones int he middle of the snowflakes and then used the Martha Stewart Silver glitter pen in the middle of some of the snowflakes.  Another simple but elegant card.  Hope you enjoyed these two cards.  Too bad my craft area is not organized yet… I will have to work on that again this coming weekend.
