I Bought Pearlescent Water Colors

I was in Michael’s on Sunday and saw this gorgeous Pearlescent Water Color tray for only 4.99.  I had to try it out. For my card today, I used Bazzill Marshmallow card stock and cut it to 5 1/2 in to 4 1/4 in.  I used the stamp set from Winnie and Walter called Holiday Trimmings which is part of the Holiday Stamp of Approval from Catherine Pooler and used the Star Banner.  I stamped this banner 6 times going down the card stock in Versamark ink and then heat embossed this in ANtique Gold from Ranger.  I then used the pink color from the Water Color Tray and covered the entire card in pink pearlescent splendor.  My focal point is an Indian Princess I found from a friend’s blog.  She had used this printable digi that she bought from Julia Spiri off of Etsy. The original design has a little elephant that this Indian girl sits on.  I printed her on 80# Neenah Solar White card stock. Colored her with my Stampin Up markers and then fussy cut her off of the elephant. Both of my sentiments are from So Suzy Stamps.  To stamp them I did something totally out of the box.  I stamped both sentiments on Vellum with Versamark and then with my palate knife I add Antique GOld embossing powder and Baby Pink embossing powder from Ranger in random places above the sentiments and then heat embossed.  This gave the sentiments a little bit of pizzazz as you can see on my card.  I layered the Vellum on black card stock, attached the pink background to more black card stock and then used a A2 size card base from the remainder of the Bazzill Marshmallow. My princess is sitting on top of the bottom sentiment and I raised her just a bit to give her dimension with some foam tape.
