Thank God that I was able to actually create some cards today.. It is probably because I received some Happy Mail from So Suzy Stamps and because I needed some birthday cards to give to my loved ones. Haha. I had wanted to use The Ton’s Rose Background stamp for quite some time. I stamped it is Versamark and heat embossed the image in Ranger Antique Gold— can I say this is by far my most favorite embossing powder–but I think since I did not use my MISTI it did not stamp as clear. I thought about scraping it and then decided that I could use it after all. I stamped the stamp twice on Tim Holtz water-color paper and heat embossed the images in gold. I water colored both images using my Zig Water Color pens. One in pink and one in blue. For the pink one I decided to fussy cut out the rose. I then adhered it to black card stock and covered this with Vellum. I heat embossed in Ranger pink and antique gold embossing powder the Happy Birthday sentiment from So Suzy Stamps ~~~ which by the way has the best font I have seen in a Happy Birthday stamp, just love it… Just added a few sequins and adhered this to an A2 card front.
For the other Rose Background card, I thought it would be nice if the rose sort of peaked through. I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp from So Suzy Stamps on black and heat embossed in Antique Gold from Ranger and then attached that to a little piece of water colored paper in blue.
For my third card I wanted to use So Suzy Stamps THe Whimsy Tress and The sentiment the Greatest Oak. I used my Zig Clean Color water brushes to just add color directly to the stamp. I stamped the image on to glossy card stock. In Memento Tuxedo Black I stamped the sentiment to the top of the tree. I used So Suzy Stamps Blowing Leaves to make sort of background on brown card stock and attached the focal point of tp with foam adhesive. I attached this to some Stampin Up Very Vanilla card stock. I thought this was missing something so I added glitter to some of the leaves and branches. The image is not crisp but I like it that way for this card.
For my next card, I wanted to use a card set that I got in the Stamp of Approval Holiday collection. It is a stamp set from The Ton. I stamped the design in Rich Razzleberry ink from Stampin Up and Memento Tuxedo Black inks. I cut out the middle using the Rectangle Stitched Border die set in the third from the largest and cut out the middle. I used my craft white ink from Stampin Up and inked the middle of the small rectangle. Since that is a pigment ink I used my heat tool to dry te ink. I then stamped one of the sentiments from Simon Says Stamps Big Birthday Wishes in the Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black and used clear embossing powder to make the sentiment pop in the middle. I attached that to black card stock which was slightly larger and then added this to the other portion of the stamped image. I wanted to off-center this a little so that I could also add another sentiment to the side of the stamped image. I attached this to black card stock and heat embossed another sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Big Birthday Wishes stamp set to the side. This was all attached to A2 card base and then added some bling to the bottom left corner.
And for my last card, I used some paper from We R Memory Keepers. This paper had HELLO die cut out already and I so wanted to make this in to a partial shaker card. I used seed beads to fill this little portion. I then used my cupcake die and cut out the outline from black card stock. I used my tape runner and just ran it over some white card stock. I laid the cupcake on to the sticky card stock and them added glitter to the cupcake. I fussy cut this cupcake out and then adhered this to the middle of the card. This was attached to A2 card base.
I truly enjoyed making all of these cards. I pray that you enjoyed viewing them. Would love it if you left me any comments. Love is always appreciated
