I received some happy mail on Friday. These beautiful lanterns from So Suzy Stamps. I just could not resist. I actually made three cards. For my first card I heat embossed one of he lanterns in Ranger’s Antique Gold embossing powder on Tim Holtz Water color paper. Using my Brother Scan and Cut, i cut out each lantern. I then used Altenew’s inks in Midnight Violet, Deep Iris, Cotton Candy, Mango Smoothie, Desert Night, and Dusk. With my Pentech water pen I colored them in. The sentiment is also from So Suzy Stamps which was heat embossed in the same gold powder at the bottom of a piece of Very Vanilla card stock from Stampin Up. The lanterns were layered at the top of the card and this was then placed on black card stock.
I even used the lantern stamp and stamped the inside with Slate ink from Simon Says Stamp.
For my next card, I used all three of the lanterns from So Suzy Stamps and I also used the stamp set that I received in Simon Says Stamp’s December Card Kit called Gifts of Love. The fox in this set is just so adorable. I started out thinking I would use the fox for a birthday card, however once the lanterns were cut and colored, I knew it needed to be a holiday card. I used the same sentiment as the above card and heat embossed it in Antique Gold as I did the same for the lanterns and the presents from the Simon Says Stamp set. I used my Stampin Up markers to color in the fox, presents and the lanterns once I had them cut out with my Scan N Cut. I added star-shaped rhinestones for the wow effect.
For my last card, i saw something similar on Pinterest. It was hard to get on camera so please forgive the low quality picture. I used the lantern from So Suzy Stamp again and I heat embossed these on Gold Metallic Paper that I purchased from Altenew with Iridescent Ice from Stampin Up. I used gold foil tape that I purchased Close To My Heart and applied that to black ribbon. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp’s set called Birthday Bits which was heat embossed in Antique Gold on black card stock. This because the focal point which was layered on a black A2 card.
Please leave me some love and subscribe to my blog for more inspiration. Thank you.
